Adult and Pediatric FA/CPR/AED and Bloodborne Pathogens Training – Blended Learning

This course will prepare you to recognize and care for various first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children, and infants and meets OSHA/workplace requirements. This blended learning course includes an online portion and an instructor-led classroom skill session. The online part must be completed before attending the in-class portion and must be taken on a PC or tablet with a high-speed Internet connection. Allow approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes to complete the online part.  Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a digital certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years. The additional bloodborne pathogens module is designed for those at risk for on-the-job exposure to blood and other bodily fluids in the workplace. The course teaches staff how bloodborne pathogens are spread, how to avoid exposure, and what to do if exposed to infectious material. This course is one of the requirements of the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard. After taking this course, students should talk with their employers about their workplace’s specific policies and procedures. Those who complete the training receive a Bloodborne Pathogens Training certification.

Basic Life Support-Blended Learning Class

This is a hybrid course with both online and in person requirements.  The 2021 Basic Life Support (BLS) course provides healthcare providers and public safety professionals the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adult, child, and infant patients. BLS is the foundational CPR/AED program typically required for healthcare providers and public safety professionals. Using online learning, lecture, skills demonstration, practice, and case-based emergency response scenarios with a focus on team-based response, BLS builds the key critical thinking, problem solving, and team dynamic skills that are needed to drive better patient outcomes.  Upon successful completion of the course, learners will receive a 2-year Basic Life Support digital certificate with anytime, anywhere access to certificate and training history.

We will have to cancel or reschedule if we do not have at least 3 people sign up.

You do not need to be a member of the YMCA to participate in this program.
